Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima noted that a significant portion of our challenges are not primarily related to resources, policies, or systems but rather stem from people’s general attitudes, values, beliefs, and norms, collectively forming the mindset. He believed that with the existing resources in Malawi, much more could be accomplished if the collective mindset shifted towards positivity. Dr. Chilima was convinced that mindset influences performance and that a growth mindset can overcome familial disadvantages.
